Former Lostprophets members reveal new band

After ex-frontman Ian Watkins was jailed for a string of child sex offences last year, we wondered if the remaining Lostprophets members would ever return to the music scene. It was looking unlikely after they officially announced their split in October 2013, but today we’re pleasantly surprised with the announcement of No Devotion, Lostprophets’ new project with ex-Thursday frontman, Geoff Rickly.

“This is a story that starts with an ending. An atypical story for modern music, this is a tragedy that isn’t mythologized, a drama that couldn’t have been manufactured. In this story, a popular band does not rediscover friendship to deliver the best album of their careers. The story of No Devotion truly has no precedent.”

No Devotion didn’t bring the news of their formation single handedly, it comes alongside the debut single; Stay (below).

As well as the extremely catchy song, No Devotion have announced a handful of UK tour dates this month, including shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Glasgow. Tickets on sale Wednesday via Seetickets.
