Less than a year after the success of their last album Old Souls, Deaf Havana have treated us all again with the release of their new EP, ’22’. This comes after an American and European tour, and just before their set at Reading and Leeds Festivals, followed by yet another stint in Europe. You certainly couldn’t complain about these boys not working hard!
This 4 track EP includes new songs ‘Drive All Night’; an upbeat folk like anthem, similar to that of ‘I Will Try’ from their Fools And Worthless Liars album, and ‘Whiskey’ – another heart wrenching song to add to the Deaf Havana archives… Because what would a Deaf Havana release be without a melancholy theme? Alongside these new tracks is a radio edit of ’22’, and a beautiful acoustic of ‘Kings Road Ghosts’ which is just as good, if not better than Old Souls album version.
If you were a fan of the remastered Fools And Worthless Liars album, then you’re guaranteed to fall in love with this EP. Value for money is something this band does extremely well, so expect nothing less than brilliant vocals, lyrics, and a wonderful assortment of instruments. Released on the 30th June, the ’22’ EP has already been awarded 4 K’s by Kerrang! and their legion of loyal fans have hailed it as some of their best work yet. These Norfolk-bred men are showing no signs of slowing down.
