East London is undoubtedly pulling out some of the best new talent at the moment. With that in mind, we took a listen to the latest track from Andriah Arrindell, Time To Shine.
Arrindell is no stranger to sharing the spotlight – having performed on stages with Aretha Franklin, Jamie Cullum and Madonna – but her true strength shows through when she’s working on her own terms. Her varied career, from backing vocalist for Shola Ama, to performing at the Obama Inauguration, has given Arrindell the perfect platform to release Time to Shine.
Produced by Whytepatch, Time to Shine infuses all the best parts of dance, gospel and pop. Arrindell’s stand-out soprano and range throughout the song gives it a real edge and the song is perfect to blast out when you need a bit of validation. The melancholy track behind the lyrics also makes it the perfect song for the dreaded transition between summer and autumn. Hopefully, this song will give her the platform she needs to continue making music on her own terms.
Time to Shine is out now.
