The wait is over. 2015 is the year 26 year old Rihanna comes back with a bang, and today sees her premiering the first video release from her upcoming eighth studio album. Not shy of bringing along some huge names for the ride, FourFiveSeconds collaborates with none other than Kanye West and Sir Paul McCartney.
Rihanna – real name Robyn Fenty – is known for reinventing herself on numerous occasions, and this come back is no different. Her music videos have crossed every boundary possible, yet she keeps it short and simple for FourFiveSeconds, in nothing but black and white and a square frame. Her fashion choices also come simple, with the help from Mr West.
“Kanye came up with the idea of just doing some real street, denim, all-American-type look. Denim never goes out of style. It’s classic, it’s iconic, just like the fucking Beatles.”
And although Mr Beatles himself keeps his collaborative efforts at just strumming the guitar, McCartney’s presence definitely make this video somewhat iconic.
FourFiveSeconds is available on iTunes now, and Rihanna, Kanye and Sir Paul all take to The Grammy’s stage in Los Angeles this Sunday.
