The Crossfire Hurricanes – The Deviant

‘The Deviant’ is the new single by Belfast four piece The Crossfire Hurricane. Citing a wide variety of influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Oasis with elements of grunge which wouldn’t sound out of place between tracks on Pearl Jam’s ‘Ten’, vocalist Brendan McGreevy weaves a story of youth and growing up and adventure, dipping in and out of legend with references to Robert Johnson selling his soul at the crossroads. The psychedelic influence on the track stands out in the opening solo, with a lead line remeniscent of Mark Crozer and The Rels.

The Crossfire Hurricanes play The Empire Music Hall in Belfast on March 20th.
